What is triggering? The most common method to treat these muscle tensions is
local compression. This involves applying targeted pressure to the hardened
area with the thumb or a massage tool until the tension is released. The muscle
gets blood flow again and the pain that was carried away disappears. If you
don't want to go to a professional for trigger point treatment right away, you
can also easily treat muscular tension yourself at home. The important thing
here is to hit the trigger point as precisely as possible and apply sufficient

acupressure on the painful area selectively. Depending on where the muscle

sitting or standing. The body weight regulates the pressure. Initially, the
pressure is slowly intensified over 30 to 60 seconds and maintained for up to
five minutes. Small massage movements around the hardened point are pleasant.
